Know about what you are selling, Know what makes your customer take your product, negotiate with him on prices, and keep in touch to maintain a relationship.
In our profession, we stick around development testing, project management, product management and believe parents how to do sales and they will get the business.
If we Know who our customer is, we offer accordingly i.e, customer centric selling. It's as equal as, trying to impress a particular girl in the school. You prepare as per her likes.
Well, sometimes we go into a conference trying to sell all we have to whoever comes across, we call that marketing strategy and distributed sales approach(i think). Well, isn't it case with matrimony? You market your profile .....
The bottom line is
Every day when you wake up be prepared to sell yourself.

For all men out there: "Have you ever tried to impress a Girl?"
For all the women out there: "Have you ever attended a party dressed up very ugly?"
Every day we think sales is not our job!
But if you go back and see your whole life, you would have tried to

The reason you need to realise the fact is because, without realisation, even Lion acts as Cat, and with the realisation of what you are can make act as Lion even if you are a cat.

Don't wait under the thought that someone would come and tell the world this guy is a good guy and he has done some super work.You can do that all by yourself. you can go out and tell "I Have done this!"

When you are about to meet a customer, dress up the way as if, you are on an official date.
