The Power of Prayer

Do you pray? When do you pray? When was the last time you prayed? Do prayers have power? Do prayers have a magical touch?
If you have said "Yes" then why don’t we pray every day?
We pray on special occasions, festivals and significant days in life. Of all them, we often pray when we are in fear. Prayers induce a subconscious thought that we are being looked after by superpower who knows what you want.
Prayers are associated with faith. When we have faith, we move forward with positive thoughts. When we offer prayers with faith, it creates a flow of energy and registers a visual image of our wants. It's not the religion or the god you offer the prayer, its ability to communicate your needs in solitude to the subconscious mind, which projects the image of your desire into the real world. Prayers detail out your problem statement. It creates an image of your fear and your desire to win over it. Subconsciously you train your mind to overcome the fear. If you doubt the process, then you are not allowing your mind to believe that your wishes come true.
In my personal life in 2018 I was diagnosed with a cyst in my spleen(there are only 2% cases across the globe .Such rare was the problem ). I went around to every possible gastroenterologist seeking treatment without surgery and removal of the spleen. I went around and knowing the answer as "No". I prayed and prayed every day, every hour and the only wish I had is “can this be cured ?”. I am living strong to date with no surgery, no medicine, and no treatment. Yes, prayers are answered. I surrendered to the universe.
Faith can move mountains.
In medical sciences, we refer to this as prayer therapy. In prayer therapy, primarily, you consciously choose a desire you want to experience. You are focusing you're conscious and subconscious for a definite purpose. We identify a pain, a wish or a situation and with faith, we ask for it. We portray an image of how it would be if the prayers are answered. It leads you to work forward in making the dreams come true. When you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them
Ask, and it shall be given, seek, and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened– Bible
Your desire is your prayer. Picture the fulfillment of your desire now and feels its reality, and you will experience the joy of answered prayer.
If you ask any doctor if he has healed the wound or cured the patient, the response is most of the time it’s the belief that the patient had, healed the pain. The healing power is within you. It has the power to heal each atom in the body and restore to perfect health. It connects with the Universal divine power. As the old saying goes " The doctors dress the wound and the god heals it." God is a belief.

Many a time we hear stories about touching the feet of monk, taking Shrine water solved challenges and fulfilled the wishes. How is this possible? How can touching someone's feet or drinking water from the bowl be the answer to the pains? The fact is that when the prayers are put forward with utmost focus desire and belief, positive energy is created, which connects us with the divine energy and the prayers are answered. It's in our minds.
According to the faith, it is done unto you.

How to pray?

  • Prayers are conversations in solitude. Just talk to your mind the way you talk to a friend. Put your thoughts in words and conversate with yourself.
"I believe the inner power in me has all the healing power. It can heal every organ and restore it. I believe and surrender to the power".
  • Meditation is a form of prayer where you enter a trans-state and allow your thoughts to create a picture of the perfect outcome of your wishes.
  • Visualization technique: Many famous orators and psychologists have stated that before they get on to the podium, they sit down in a calm and relaxed state and visualize a picture of the audience with energy and positive state. They are agreeing to the talk and transforming themselves. It ensures they finish the talk in desired and utmost success.

Five benefits of prayer

  1. Prayer is a particular form of meditation and may, therefore, convey all the health benefits that are associated with meditation
  2. Live longer: Prayers allow you to recover from illness and prevent deadly diseases. It is proved that prayers can improve longevity. It is the reason we hear about monks in the mountains who have been living there for ages.
  3. Increase in happiness: A study conducted by researchers at the University of Pennsylvania found that praying increases the levels of dopamine in your brain. Dopamine is the hormone that is associated with happiness – it’s the same hormone that is released in your brain when you eat chocolate.
  4. Reduce Stress levels: According to Ayurveda, stress is the number one cause behind the accumulation of toxins in the body. By reducing your stress levels, praying helps dispel this build-up of toxins. It makes you calm and feels relaxed without being moved by outward conditions. It can bring you out of depressions and reduce anxiety.
  5. Create Trust and Bonding: As you pray, you to start developing faith and make you a humble servant. It kills the ego within and brings forth the human in you. It brings you close to people around you and a sense of trust and bonding is created. A high optimistic magnetic energy flows around you. When you know you are guarded, will you not be more optimistic?
