"Vision"-Who owns it?

PS: Writing this post straight out of my bed at Morning 5:00 am. Ignore my mistakes.:) Every time when we meet someone new- a friend, prospect, Senior person in an organization etc. The second question would be  "What do you do ?" or "What are you working on?" or "what does your company do?"  and I assume 70% of the answers are  " I am a developer" or " I work on GIS platform" or "My company builds mobile apps"  . So whats wrong in that? Nothing rig ht . But  take a step back  and read the question  "What do you do ?".  Can the answer be  " I am working for a vision ..... and I contribute my part as a developer ....." "My company has a vision ....and to achieve this vision we work on ............"  " we as an organization work for a vision to build ...". It sounds good right and also motivational for the person hearing. If it's so good(i fee...

Essentials for Delivering a "Super Talk"

When someone has given their time for you, then make it count for them All successful Orators were storytellers and in the 20th century, 80% of successful people are storytellers. It could be a sales demo or a feature presentation, or a moment to inspire, Prime ministers speech everything needs it. Duration of it can be for 15 -18 mins, the impressions created can last for a lifetime. When someone delivers the talk, the audience should resonate with the passion that the speaker has and the content should raise the beats of their heart. Imagine any great movie; the directors present his vision in the form of a storyline to bring the producers and star cast to say yes. That’s is the reason we call them the perfect storytellers. In the corporate world it is no different we refer them as visionaries, Storytellers and some time with love we call them "the Sales People". Nelson Mandela is a great storyteller he could tell a story of his vision to bring a nation together...

The Power of Prayer

Do you pray? When do you pray? When was the last time you prayed? Do prayers have power? Do prayers have a magical touch? If you have said "Yes" then why don’t we pray every day? We pray on special occasions, festivals and significant days in life. Of all them, we often pray when we are in fear. Prayers induce a subconscious thought that we are being looked after by superpower who knows what you want. Prayers are associated with faith . When we have faith, we move forward with positive thoughts.  When we offer prayers with faith, it creates a flow of energy and registers a visual image of our wants.  It's not the religion or the god you offer the prayer, its ability to communicate your needs in solitude to the subconscious mind, which projects the image of your desire into the real world. Prayers detail out your problem statement. It creates an image of your fear and your desire to win over it. Subconsciously you train your mind to overcome the fear.  If you dou...
